Futsal (indoor soccer) is an amazing sport that is fast paced and requires high energy. It simulates the outdoor game but indoors, with touchline boundaries, with small sided games (5-vs-5) and a smaller ball (size 4). HSSC uses a low bounce ball which promotes more ball control.

HSSC Floor Hockey brings the intensity of the game minus the ice and skates. With both recreational and intermediate divisions, there’s a place for players looking for fast-paced fun or a bit more competition.

Games are played 5-on-5 (4 players plus a goalie), and teams can play with a maximum of 2 people of any gender on the court. The goaltender position is gender neutral.. Expect quick shifts, big laughs, and a lot of stick taps for good plays. Whether you're a seasoned sniper or just in it for the hustle, it’s time to bring your game indoors!

Explore some of Halifax's best trails with HSSC.

The variety of landscapes, scenery and terrain includes lakeside trails, coastal cliffs, serene woodland and secluded coves, and to top it all off, there’s no shortage of breathtaking views!

Hiking locations are within a 40-minute drive of Halifax, but times may be more depending on where participants live in relation to the trail. Access to a car or carpool plan prior to registration is recommended.

🎾 Join us for Tennis Instructional - a weekly 55 minute skills class for those new to the game of tennis, or looking to improve on basic skills.

The following sports have rental equipment options (that means you can bring your own or choose to make a refundable deposit and rent the equipment from us):

Dodgeball (two dodgeballs) - $100.00 refundable deposit

How the equipment rental works? Click "individual" to see the equipment options. Then make a refundable equipment deposit using your credit card. You’ll get to borrow the equipment from us for the season*, and when you return it, we will give you a refund of your equipment deposit.

Not sure if your team needs equipment rentals? If you are an individual registrant (playing with others you have not yet met), please take the time to connect with your teammates through your Team Forum to find out if equipment is needed. Then nominate one member of your team to make the equipment deposit and pick it up at one of the sessions indicated below.

*Dodgeball, Futsal and Flag Football equipment is provided for individual teams to use for the season as part of their registration.

*We ask that players return equipment rentals at the next season's Equipment Pick-up / Drop-off Session. Equipment that has not been returned within twelve months of the rental will be considered owned. No refund will be available after this time.
